No, the numbers made complete sense you moron, and were actually lower than I'd expect. We have guns here, legally, of COURSE the numbers are going to be higher.
What I said made no sense, you frigging jacktard, was your first sentence. Hence why I said something about it.
I nitpick, because that's how you find holes in the arguments of the people that have no inkling what you are talking about.
Again, you don't like it here, L E A V E!

ATLANTA -- The United States has by far the highest rate of gun deaths -- murders, suicides and accidents -- among the world's 36 richest nations, a government study found.
``If you have a country saturated with guns -- available to people when they are intoxicated, angry or depressed -- it's not unusual guns will be used more often,''
Wow. 14.24 out of 100,000. But Canada is TENTH.

Criminal is not going to stop using a firearm, plain and simple.
correct but if guns where less available,/harder to get.
i dont have a problem with guns being available to licence people. im sure red zman has his safely stored at his place and wouldnt let an 8yo play with one.
a gun is a tool. an effective killing tool. in the right hands its fairly safe. in the wrong hand (an 8yo, a depressed person, etc) its deadly.
My first sentence,
As per your 'you don't like it, leave' statement - I completely agree with that. I never said how Americans SHOULD run things, it's not my place to do that.
But don't go around telling people that making guns illegal would equal MORE gun-related deaths, 'cause that's just BS.

, made perfect sense, as I'm sure you realize. It was written while you were editing your post, hence it was referring to your 'homicide numbers skyrocketing' claim, which was the last or next to last sentence in your unedited post. DUHAs per your 'you don't like it, leave' statement - I completely agree with that. I never said how Americans SHOULD run things, it's not my place to do that.

BTW, I'm changing the stupid, and misleading title Evo decided to put up there.
This wasn't involved in any "GAME".
Don't forget also, the crazy Americans and our silly guns have NEVER been invaded. Hmm, I wonder why...

And as to your "SKYROCKETED" beliefs, well, get your facts straight.
Here's a survey about Australia, look at the first figure. Continued _decline_ DOES NOT EQUAL 'skyrocketed'

Evo.
Pretty good on all counts, and yes, you have it right, execpt for a couple of things.
1. Guns are already here. Millions of them.
2. The only folks that'll follow the laws are those that were doing it legally in the first place.
3. The huge borders we have, hell, just the size of this country, we have a LOT of illegal firearms come in from Mexico, "gasp" Canada, and the oceans. getting a grip on the borders will help, but now that the economy is priority, we'll ignore the holes in the border till we get nuked.
It was stupid and misleading, it wasn't a "Game" at the fairgrounds.
No, it didn't.
I never said, anywhere, that making guns illegal would equal more gun related deaths. Deaths by self defense would drop dramatically. The amount of homicides by ILLEGAL guns would go up, of course, since they are illegal.

wow...... you guys...
anyway,as finely said by chris tucker...
"guns don't kill people, stupid motherf***ers with guns kill people"
i don't own a gun, but i would never be for a gun ban.
every person who abides by the law would be vulnerable to crooks with guns, and defenseless.

I bet you if you cleaned up the streets, cracked down on gangs, got rid of drugs, shootings would decline a lot. Gang related violence and shootings should carry Life sentence. You commit a crime with a gun, Life. Then if you get life you are not getting cable TV and 3 meals, no your on a chain gang breaking up road surfaces, or some other laborious task. Jails need to be the closest to human hell as possible.
I bet you that streets would be a lot safer and crime and surprisingly illegal GUNS would be all but gone.
Z, i agree "I the only one tired of frigging foreigners coming here for all the great stuff we can do for them, then telling us what we have to change to be more like where they just left? You don't like it, take your FOREIGN ASS HOME."

^^^^ nice quote socks, also:
"guns don't kill people, husbands who come home early do"
On a serious note though, say somehow you banned guns and took them all away, that's not going to stop people from having guns for 2 reasons, our borders are way to long to possible patrol all at the same time, and unless you're going pass a law that requires a permit to purchase steel and take away every metal lathe, grinder and file in the country people will still be able to produce there own guns. The concept and practice of gun-making is quite simple, and yes a highly accurate sniper rifle or a super small glock may require precision engineering, but an automatic smg? that's easy, just google it once, even if you aren't smart enough to figure it out on your own, the plans are out there.
Instead of banning things and going on witch hunts to track down all the guns in the country, wouldn't the simpler solution be to teach our children to think and to have a respect for life? Growing up there were never guns in my house, not for any political reason, my dad just wasn't into them, he had other interests, but I grew up and learned how to shoot and handle a gun and now I have several firearms. I wouldn't get into a fight and use one just to prove I was a man, I have a healthy respect for the gravity of their power, but I would have no hesitation in using one if I felt that I or someone else was being legitimately threatened.

sure, your a good person, but not everyone is.
if guns where introduced here (Australia), i would feel less safe due to the amount of idiots out there. and i dont believe the solution to feel safer would be to have my own gun.
i'll give you an example of where i live, adelaide, population, 1 million.
hindley street, (google it: googled)
its a popular place due to the amount of bars and clubs on it but also has a bad reputation. many fights, assaults, etc happen here. mainly alcohol related. i feel relativity safe walking down it at night alone (some people do call me crazy though). if guns where avaliabl;e in larger numbers, i could almost guarantee this is where they appear. so instead of the drunk idiot flapping his mouth and waving his fists about (the current situation), we would have the drunk idiot flapping his mouth and waving his gun about. no amount of teaching about weapons or respect for life would change this.
