The only person who's time has been wasted is mine. What did you have to do DTN? Nothing, just pony up the money that I didn't have at the time. SOCKS was going to make a set, without a car to even test them on (you may have noticed, he sold his). I sent you the set that your money bought, still brand new, and you should be able to make a profit off of it, I just do NOT have the time to sit there trying to sell it for you. Since the NRG's are cheaper, you'll have spent less anyways. You knew I had a package getting ready to go to you, so yeah, the first thing you should do is let me know you have a new shipping address. I don't have shit to justify, I'm just tired of the frigging annoyance.

On a side note, I've been here for what, 5 years now? Almost 30K posts Only ONE member blocked via PM's. Wonder what that means?

I agree, it's gotten out of hand, and for sure, DTN could have emailed me instead, but I'm a bit fed up.

I'm going to go ahead and close this for now, as there's no new info until I can get ahold of the bracket designer.

I will open a new thread with everything in the KFX section when ready.

If you have more questions, PM me folks.

Quick update for everyone on these.

The member that was making the brackets has fallen off of the face of the earth. Won't return PM's, Emails, or phone calls.

So, Lee (UrSONvUs) has agreed to redesign and make them for us. I shipped the entire kit to him on Wednesday and he should have them by now to rework. The brackets need to be made a bit thicker so they don't flex, and they need to move the mounting holes a bit towards the front to avoid cruise control assembly.

The first few sets should be to me in a few weeks, then we will be having these for sale in groups.

Please stop PMing me about this guys, it's in the works.

just FYI...

I have not received this in this mail yet. when I do I will give reports (with pics fing02.gif ) showing the progress.

I am pretty much stock in terms of engine upgrades (only CAI) and my cruise is intact so this will be designed around the huge power steering hose. I plan on making the strut attachment a plate that incorporates all three strut mount bolts. the more fixed positions this part has, the better to reduce flex to make the dampener do what it was supposed to.

you agree RED Z?

That definitely needs to NOT interfere with strut bars if you go that route, since nearly everyone who will want a damper has a strut bar.

nah, it won't CAJ..

think of it as a sandwich plate. ive got a old shark racing front strut bar installed so i will make sure it they will work together and still have plenty of threads on the bolts.

No, I don't agree. You'll have to do it like the current one, with 2 bolts, because there would be so little metal going to the third bolt it's not going to help much at all. You'll see what I mean when you put it on.

BTW, if you guys LOOK at the last pics I put up, you'll see the current plate works fine with a strut bar.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (RED ZMAN @ Feb 18 2008, 11:45 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>

THis is the latest version. The final version will have a straight bracket for the strut one, no bends, and will move the damper a inch or 2 closer to the front of the car.</div>

I thought I had posted the last set in here of the current brackets, but I guess I posted them elsewhere. Someone can look through my photobucket for them if they want, should be easy enough.

I'll see what I can find.

Here it is..

that top bracket was exactly what i had in my mind. I saw those pics one time but i guess not on the site. must've been whoring around on your photobucket page. cool.gif

tell you what, i'll make one of both, we'll see what everyone wants in terms of two holes or three. we might as well since we are the people that are going to be using them, haha.

still trying to figure out that bottom bracket in my head and be able to make it out of one piece than having to tig weld something together.

I like the bent version of the top bracket better than the fourth pic, that just looks weak IMO.
