I wouldnt go with rockford or infinity. You can pick them up at any old electronics store like best buy. They made to be fairly inexpensive and they lack in quality. Be careful with the alpine. My buddy just got a whole new system the other day and when we were talking to the guy that owns our local audio shop, he said to beware of the new Alpines. He says they are good, but theyre having a lot of problems with them Like bugs and frying out. He said they were even recalling some of them.

I've heard several good things about JL Audio subs and amps.
I've heard several good things about Alpine head units, but they don't have much of a resale value. They all look the same to me. I like Pioneer HU personally. I've heard several people say they like their infinity components but I don't have any personal experience with them

Check out Elementaldesigns.com. They have some KILLER stuff. NINe.1 amp that is stable BELOW 1 ohm! Pumps out 1400 watts at 14.4 Volts. They also have the eu-700 or something like that. Its a 6.5" high excursion sub. Laugh if you like. One of the guys on there site through 6 in a box and hit 146 dB! They are predicting over 150 dB once it is tuned correctly. All their stuff has 3 year transferable warranties and their customer service is fantastic.

I do agree though, Alpine Head and JL subs. The Alpine Type R's subs are damn nice too! laugh.gif Good luck with your system. Keep us updated

For head units I would recommend Pioneer. I still have one of my first decks (tape LOL) and it still works perfectly, I think it is like over 10 years old now. I have always went with Pioneer decks and they have never let me down.
