^^ Ok, let me see if I get what you're talking about.

I do kind of like that idea, the only problem I can see is with making it thick enough to not break when I hit a corner, it looks like it might be difficult to work with because of how much thin FG is involved, trying to sand it and make it actually fit right may proove a challenge.

The more I think about it, I kind of like that idea. It might work with if I reenforced it with some alluminum stock. Then I'd have a strong base to work with, and I can even add that cupholder I've been wanting smile.gif

I'll look at the feasability of this option, to see if it's within my skill level. Good idea mang.

i would blend it more with the dash curves and have it run along the curves instead of out a couple inches.

I really wanted to, but the tiburon's dashboard/crashpad line is at an angle. That would put the speaker pointing directly at me instead of center of the car for the passenger as well.

I just think a lot of people would see it and think, "wtf" It would sound great but I know youre in it for looks to. I dont think it looks horrible but I think with some work you can make it flow a whole lot better. Its a lot of work though.

put it in the vent hole dood, it looks like poo on the crashpad. in fact, it sticking up in general looks like poo, and im pretty sure would drive you nuts having to look at it everyday while driving.

Yeah man. More or less you got what I was describing. If you just had everything flow a bit more or stole an idea from the vent's and have that little hump around the top of the speaker like the vent's. Might make it work together better.

All I did was smooth out the corner for it to be the same as the corner on the center dash.

The vent hole points at the driver. It won't work like that. It has to be facing center for proper sound imaging. Also that would be much closer then on the crashpad. I don't think it would bother me that much sticking up. It's below the hood line though. Really, the only two options for this are on the crashpad pointing upwards or on the crashpad pointing forewards. The rest is design.

you can angle it and do some glassing to get it in the vent.

I dont like the flow. Maybe it'll look better when its done. I had a center channel in my last car that was flush mounted to the crash pad. You actually had to really look to see it. Sounded great, and when someone noticed it, they where amazed. It looked stock!!!
