K, so 1 + and 1 -. I'm still teetering on the edge of throwing it away and doing something else. I look at it and I say, meh, that's nothing special. I'm not really sure why. I know it would look alot better with some body work and paint, but I just don't want to waste my time If it's going to look like crap.

^^ I went with a darker image because it allows you to see more of an outline. That's all this is ATM. It's unfinished and still needs body work. Here's a full flash pic.

I think it looks okay, once it gets done it will look alot better, I can't think of another way that would make it look any better, I'd stick with the project.

the more i think about it, the more i like the idea of having a center channel speaker for dvds and stuff, but not so much how that box is coming out.

if you flush mount it pointing upwards, you might run into clearance issues underneath too(which i dont think you had planned on, just making sure you take it into consideration).

you could always say screw the pass. front vent, block off the airflow, and throw the speaker in there. i wouldnt do that (just because im weird), but i think its the best option in your case. if i ever start on my climate control project i'd probably end up replacing the blower controls with two gauges and one speaker if i go with 5.1

that thing would just bother me while driving.

I think it would look better on the platic dash piece molded there. That may be to close to you though. Im not sure. You already spent a lot of time on it. May as well finish it up as long as you can take it out if you end up not liking it.
