Well the unit came in today and I went ahead and tryed it out and this one works. I got it all installed and it sounds real good. It's just what I was looking for when it comes to its size and the output. Pics and a video will be posted later this evening so you can see for yourself smile.gif

UPDATE:

It really is plenty of bass for our airspace. I can feel it in the back of my chair when the gain is only up half way. It has tight, responsive bass for those quick hits, but it can hit the deep low tones very well if you mess with the frequency a bit. I prefer low-midrange frequency myself so i keep it towards the middle. I am very satisfied with it, Its a clean install, and very easy installation. It really does sound similar to 2 10's. Not quite, but almost.

I even ran it by my local audio shop for them to look at it and everyone that worked there ended up coming out to look at it because none of them had seen/heard of this before. They were impressed as well and are going to start carrying these laugh.gif

Pics:

Video: My camera cant handle the bass so it distorts it, but I wanted you to be able to see it in action. Having a sub for your computer helps the quality a bit.

Rap isn't my favorite, but it shows the sub movement better.

Wow!! Thats sweet. Very simple and super clean. Definitely my style. I'll have to consider one for my truck, or better yet, the Accent. laugh.gif

Okay, now I'm torn again. I'm gonna have to keep watching that video, it might be worth getting the LAT just to WATCH IT! It's crazy. Thanks for posting up the vid, and pics of your install.

Well, I had decided this weekend that I should go with 12s. I put my old Punch 12s into a buddies pickup, and they sounded pretty good. I wanted to up the ante with my own install, and I figured the Alpine Type-Rs would be the best way.

Now, seeing the pics of how clean the LAT looks in a Tib, and knowing that they do sound pretty decent, I want these again too. I just can't make up my mind.

Well, my personal view on this. It was cool to have big subs in High School to show off, but I'm done with that phase. I just wanted something clean and simple that delivers the bass that I need inside the car. That's why I bought these.

lol, yeah, exactly.
I think either 12s or the LAT could be installed to sound and look good. 12s might sound a bit better, but their box would be bigger.
I also think that one of the fun things about the LAT is that its new & unique, and it would be fun to watch it work.

Just stumbled on this thread but it's really catching my attention. Here's a bit of a down low, my friend has two 10'' punch subs and a 400w alpine amp. Now for example if he play's the song dark shark was playing it's like it's not just hitting the notes of bass it's kinda always putting out bass, it hit's cleaner when we mess with the crossover and gain on the amp but i want something that hit's really cleanly. example lol, bap, bap bap, bap bap not baaaap, baappp baaapppppp, bappp kinda bass. I'm still in the highschool phase of wanting to show off some sub's dancing but these are unique like everyone is saying nd so small, also no amp need's to wired up somewhere else.
