Sweet!! definitely keep me posted. I'd love to hear a first hand account of the thing, especially in our cars. I can definitely wait a little longer, as I've already been sitting on the project for like a month. Where'd you order it from?

Crutchfield all the way. I found it cheaper elsewhere but once you factored in shipping it was more. Free shipping FTW, lol.

Hey there. I did read all the posts, however when you said had in mind I thought thta you were mostly looking for a response on that set and still comparing. Wasn't sure that you had your mind set with those peices.

As far as making you install look stock that is totally understandable. I was just opening a can of worms for discussion.

Yes... a can of worms was right. I was hoping for discussion on the subs, since they are fairly unique technology. I had hoped someone might have some first hand experience with them. Sounds like Dark Shark might be the man for that soon, though.

I included that stuff to give some perspective for what I'm looking at in the rest of the system since a couple people said the 250 Watt subs might be underpowered. I'm still not too sure what power range to shoot for, as I've not done a multi-amp install yet. I'd like the bass to hold its own, but I don't need a bass-only system either.

Ok UPS says itll be here tomorrow, so I went ahead and ran another wiring kit to the trunk (6x9's already amped) so all I gotta do is drop it in, hook the wires up and mount it. Figured Id get the few hour part done today and just leave myself with a 20 minute job tomorrow. Ill post up my thoughts and a video when it's all done smile.gif

Well, this kinda sucks. I got it today and hooked everything up, the amp powered on fine but... no sound from the speakers themselves. So, I tested the CD player outputs (good) used another set of RCA's (still didnt help) messed with all the controls and connections (all good) but still no sound. So I called Crutchfield and another unit is on its way as this one was deemed defective.

Ill bet its got to do with the connection from the amp to the speakers themselves, but Im not pullin it apart since theyre sendin me another one free of charge. It should be here Tuesday. Im kinda bummed I was hopin to have it all done by today... On the plus side, I really like how the unit fits behind the seats and the mounting brackets they provide will work perfectly. It's a very high quality product all in all, I just got a defective one unfortunately.

OH MAN, that SUCKS. I'm sorry, I was really looking forward to hearing about your experience with it. At least you'll only have to wait until Tuesday, and all the wiring is already in place for it. Should be a quick plug & go kinda thing after that, right?

BTW, did they want the defective unit back? If not, I'd be willing to pay shipping to get a chance to dissect it. It'd be fun to see what's inside, whether I could get it to actually work or not. fing02.gif

Yeah they rushed the shipping for this one so Tuesdays not so bad.

But yeah they want the defective unit returned after I receive the new one. They have to see the defective unit, Otherwise I could have just been lying in order to get 2 units, haha. If I dont return it within 14 days I'd have to pay for both of them..
