Looks great. I'd like to see you paint the ashtray and cupholder to match, as well as the section around the environment controls, but I guess with that section it's hard to stop with painting since it extends left.

Damn your car is clean! laugh.gif

trying to get in when they see the screen.
Any solutions? But not by removing the screen out of the car...

Pick up a double DIN OEM Hyundai radio on ebay, or use your old one if you have it. Remove the face, and sand down the back. Then add some sort of hook to you can pop it in place over the screen. No one will want to steal the POS Hyundai deck. smile.gif

I haven't added a hook to mine yet, still trying to find the best way. But I did see this done somewhere before. I sanded the back flat and glued on a piece of 1/8" ABS sheet. I can put up a pic if you want.

Mine had a few issues so I need to start over.

Same here. Unfortunately I can't start over, I have too much time invested in it and I would need a new bezel. I don't know, maybe it could be saved by cutting out the old bezel and putting a new one in. But mine is warped to hell. Small, wavey warps, you can't really see them until you put the screen back in, and then there are gaps. I've tried straightening them with a heat gun amd a piece of glass, but it's not working. So I'm going to give it one more shot by filing in the interior of the bezel and sanding the outside down, and if that doesn't work, start over.

I really should have practiced with the homebrewed liquid plastic. Just one heavy application and the bezel warped like mad.

Well I just figure out my touchscreen is dead. One of the traces between the glass and the TS material is broken. I don't know if I can seperate it and put in some conductive paint to fix it or not.

Sorry to hear it. Did you buy it new? I would try to return it if so.

Otherwise, you can either sell it for parts, or probably buy what you need on mp3car.com.

I now have close to 20 hours put into mine, half that is fixing my screwup, but it's finally ready to be (re)primered.

Damn that looks so nice.
I keep changing my mind between an in-dash and attempting to mold one myself.
After having the screen like that, do you wish you would have tilted it at all? Or is having it flat like that work just fine?
