<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Though I am fairly confident that the only mount that needs moved is the one on the passenger side, and only moved slightly (have someone weld it).Its seems my friend with the 2.0 swap had a problem with it when someobody moved it for him and it caused the motor to sit crooked.</div>

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>What makes you think you know anything?
Simple. Trial and error. I did my Beta Swap on Spring Break in March 2006. Since then I have burned up 1 clutch, replaced it, blown 1 transmission, replaced the transmission and clutch with Elantra parts, shortened driverside axle, starter broke and pieces fell in clutch, replaced clutch again, clutch BLEW UP!, replaced clutch again, and most recently I lost an axle and replaced it with an axle from a different car. Along the way I have also redesigned the original custom motor mount to let the engine sit level and axles work right.</div>

How wrong must a mounting be if its going to cost you a engine? the only thing i can think of if the engine is not very level ATT ALL?
any other adivise or is that just a sales pitch?

My advice is to just ensure that the engine is sitting fairly level. The rest of Ryan's problems were mostly bad luck, or at least much worse than most people's luck.

I'm not sure, like $150 or $200 I think.

on my beta swap i just made the passenger mount. usdm car. so the on on the right if seated in car.
it was pretty simple. and i run 14.8-15.3s with just gutted interrior and headers exhaust.. so its a fun swap from the get go.. im now putting together a turbo kit then the fun will start

Lets talk beta swop electronics for a moment. At present i have a complete stand alone engine management. My scoupe turbo ran with a 60-2 pickup sensor. What does a beta use? If the pickups are the same. Do i just need to retain the alpha coil pack then the car should start first time? I know the car will defaintly need to be retuned. But that will mean the difference between me driving the car to the tunes or getting it towed $$$$$

The beta also has a 60-2 wheel and depending on the year it was either a hall or vr sensor. If you count the first missing tooth as 0, TDC is on the 19th tooth or 126°.

I'm pretty sure they look the same it's just that one requires voltage and sends out a square wave signal and the other is passive and sends out an alternating signal. You should be able to use the same crank sensor that originally came with your motor.
