the goo's not on the dipstick, just the oil cap, so i assume that it's probably condensation... at least that's what the dealer told me. so i'm just gonna bring it in for the lights (as long as i don't fix the problem first).

well, i just got it back from the dealer, with minimal damage to the wallet. apparently it was a harness to my rear driver side tail/brakelight that had a pin dislodge in the harness so that it was shorting itself out. the really weird part is, that i t happened while i was working on the haloz. i never touched the tail light, it's just some really strange coincidence. really strange. i still have trouble believing it actually. but all is good now, and the halo lights are going back in this week/weekend. dang that was stressful/worrysome.

$40 for the harness was the damage, and i'm not sure why that wasn't covered under warranty, but i wasn't gonna argue considering if they looked under the dash, they would have seen a mess of wires, and probably voided my electronic part of the warranty anyway.

phorq is pleased.

Default Gauge recomendation

good to hear man! Dude I was misfiring on every cylinder I got five codes on the CEL cause of that and 1 more code for bad 02 readings cause of the misfires. I for some reason purchased a new fuse box harness while the car was away, so the day I got it back I pulled the old fuse box and harness. That thing was filled with water so bad stuff was happening electronically. Now the car runs great, even though the new electrics are from a 2001 automatic. It always nice to have well running cars with Angel Eyes wink.gif

I certainly hope it was just a bad fuse.. however.. if the problem comes back after they fixed it.. do they have to fix it again for free?
