I think CF has been overdone. You can get anything in CF now. Ever see Cheech and Chong's up in smoke, the van made of weed?? It won't be long untill we see a car like that!
I really like true CF accents for the interior though, if not overdone.

Yuris tib is tight, but "the best built tib ever"? Thats kind of a stretch seeing that you haven't seen all the tricked out tibs out there.
Ever hear of complimenting someone to make up for the fact that you just ragged on them for something else?? Nonetheless, it was only my opinion, not a fact. wiggle_m

The CF hood I had was from TC Spoilers (its the unit batlord has now). It was 7.5 lbs.
The Zefiro Fiberglass hood is 14lbs. So roughly double the weight.
The stock hood was 48 lbs (gen1). The gen2 hood should be lighter in all versions, as it is smaller.
The CF hood from TC spoilers "bucked" and "flexed" at freeway speeds. It was rather thin with no center braceing across the center of the hood. That is why it flexed at speed. Only the top part of the hood was CF. The bottom "bracing" was fiberglass.
The Zefiro hood does not have the flex problem, but it is also much thicker, and has more under bracing.
For the weight trade off, I'm more than happy with the Zefiro.
Again, considering I paid $500+ for the Zefiro, that ebay hood for $250 is a STEAL jaw_drop

I wouldn't mind at ALL!
Several other folks here want the same scoop, and the company that sells them wants WAY too much for them. I think that'd be a great idea.
I'm emailing ya now.
Julez,
I guess you could say it is, but it would take a damn big rock to do any damage. I own 2 cars with fiberglass parts......no problems with chipping. Repair on a fiberglass part is also easier and cheaper.
