New hood for gen 2's

I am actually thinking of getting this or a similar hood. I would prefer a stock looking hood so I can get the Cadamuro hood scoop. Do you really NEED to use hood pins with a fiberglass hood? This guy says they are a must but he also sells them. My 2001 SS has a fiberglass hood and it doesn't need pins, but it is also bigger than a Tib hood.

I have a fiberglass hood with no pins.
I had a CF hood with no pins.
It really depends on the design of the hood, weather or not it retains the stock latching mechanizm..etc..etc..etc..

how much heavier is a fg hood over a cf hood? what does a stock 2g hood weigh? i really like that hood, and just might buy it. if you have a hood like that with a vent or a scoop, isn't the rain that comes through there a bad thing? dunno

Can you belive that he's trying to sell it for that much? JESUS!
I know SR wants like $210 for it, maybe it's more, but I got mine brand new (With a 4 month wait granted... flaming_ really_m f_you_ma ) for $125.

to be quite honest, i wasn't gonna get a CF hood either, but a deal came along and i got my SR hood for 300. i wastn' a fan of the whole two tone effect, but once i put it on the car, i fell in love with it. i really wanted the Zefiro Hood, but 450 for a hood that i have to pay to paint as well? help could someone post this pic of mine?
