nah... just seal off the whole well area with calk and put some bling on the front to make it look cleaner. it will still force air.

I kinda like it. How did you cut it? It got me thinking....

What if you used one of the NACA ducts, but put the hole and the duct on the splashguard underneath the bumper. You'll be getting more air into that area WHILE not having to cut into the bumper! I may definately look into this. You guys think this would work just as well???

Has anyone seen street cars that push good power at the track? They ussually place the filter inbehind a headlight or foglight and remove it when they go to the track. A local dsm actually dynoed the diffence because we didnt believe him. Mind you we had around 3 fans going into his removed whole from the headlight but it got him roughly ~ 4 whp at the wheels. He's also boosted and runs high low 12's at the track so you wont see a 4whp gain from your setup but it is proven to be more efficient.

^^ I put masking tape on the bumper then drew the scoop design straight onto the tape with a black marker. When I was happy with the design, I got a power drill & drilled holes all around the edges of the design, prolly a couple of mm from the design's edges. Drill enough holes & the unwanted piece of bumper eventually separates. Then I simply filed the edges right down to the marked lines on the tape. I used a couple of different files.

I guess the NACA duct placed underneath the bumper would also work but I'd be worried about feeding water right to the filter.

Anyway, I decided that I was happy with the shape & size of my scoop so earlier today I meshed it up with some black grill-mesh...

I might do something else to it one day but for now I'm happy with it.
