Put some trim on it to make it look finished. It would be better then a hole. get some vacuum hose from autozone and cut a slit in it and line the edges, or get a CAI funnel for the end. Anything would be better then a straight hole. Touch it up a bit.
It would be cool if you could get some of those reversed heat vents that you see on hoods alot...the small ones lined up back to back to suck heat out....Yeah...those would look cool over it but...I think they would defeat the purpose...But it looks good....Id just put some mesh over it that is the same color of the car....But yeah mang I like it.
7 x 4 inches... or 780 x 120 mm depending on where you are in the world.

Or, if you want to remain being thrifty.. you could elongate the hole so it more or less flows from the stock fog location. Give it a reverse "c" shape at the fog and taper it back towards the wheel well.

dude im sorry but u cut a hole in the bumper for nothing.
it servs no purpose. it will not help your cai get more or colder air it serves no purpose but to maybe get your car to hydrolock faster.
lol u cut a hole in your bumper thinking it woud make your car faster owned.gif

DOUBLE YEW TEE EFF, mate? are u smoking??
a) this hole does serve a purpose, maybe not a WHOLE lot but i GUARENTEE it serves purpose and has its benifets. with the splash guard underneath, and the foglights, u dont have much air being directed in there..
this solves that problem.
if he ever got himself in a situation where he could hydrolock the engine, it would lock regardless of a hole being there or not. im sorry for u dood, its a simple theory really about more air and everything..
anyways my recommendation on the 'hole' lol.. no need to match it on the other side. throw in some nice trim, some black mesh, or even the color of your car and it will barely be noticable, and when noticed, it willl be in a good way.. props man. smile.gif
I just think cutting a hole in your bumper is sorta retarded..lol. Theoretically yes there is a difference, but it's not a difference you can feel. I removed the fog lights from my bumper and no there is no difference.
I would definitly either cut one on the other side to be symmetrical and then mesh them both, or do what Mad-Machine is talking about..that looks cool.
Although I will say, for just cutting a hole, it looks pretty good. You didn't just hack it up, it doesn't look that bad. fing02.gif

Those look pretty cool Mad-Machine. I have considered something along those lines but the surface of the bumper where the hole/ scoop is located is kinda awkward: loads of curves & humps.
BTW, 780 x 120mm is roughly 30.7" x 4.7" wink1.gif
To those who are suggesting that I should try to finish it off a bit better, don't worry... I will fing02.gif
I may still enlarge the hole or even play around with the shape a little. I definitely don't plan to make another one on the other side though. The asymmetry doesn't bother me in the slightest because, as I said earlier, it's barely noticeable with the dark colour of my car... Also, I can't be arsed doing it all over again on the other side wink1.gif

personally i think it's a good idea to put a hole there. If you sealed off your front fender well and put a funnel of some sort on there you can say it's forced cold air intake.
Make it look better though. Add some bling though. that's a good custom mod.

Hi OZ; I like your idea... maybe you could put some kind of edges there, like the chrome vent thingies that kspec sells, only you would need to black-chromed them; and then put a mesh there. The reverse vent is also a good idea, like the one in the hoods of the 206 Pugs, but it would be difficult to match it to the curvy shape of the Tib's bumper.
