Well, I prefer turbocharged power simply because I plan on going well over 250 WHP.

In regards to N/A advice....

Budget buildup.
#1 Intake. Pick your flavorite here. $50-$200
#2. Headers. I have YET to see a single header on the market I like. The best designs I've seen have been "one off"'s. I'd spend the $$$ to get one custom made. $500-$800
#3. 2" exhaust with flowmaster muffler, possibly a 18" glass pack if it's still too loud $100-$300
#4. Fidanza Flywheel $350-$400
#5 Light weight cast wheels No sense in paying $$$ for forged stuff, we're on a budget. $400
#6 Falken Azenis tires for summer, put stock wheels/tires back on for winter if applicable to your area of the country. ($400-$550 depending on size)
#7. Cams. None are really 'cheap' at the moment, but I'd try like hell to work out a deal with KSPEC or REAL to get them at a discounted price if you get them dyno tested. $300-$800

Grand total. $1550 to $3450
That should get you to about 160-190 WHP depending on how well it all works together. You shouldn't need an S-AFC/SMT-6 or other fuel "trickery" as long as you add the parts in one at a time, over time. The ECU will learn/adjust. Biggest trick/problem will probably be the cams. Getting the ECU to work with 272 degree cams may prove impossible without a S-AFC/SMT-6 You'll also be taxing the hell out of the stock fuel system at the upper ranges there.

Balls to the wall setup.

#2. Headers. I have YET to see a single header on the market I like. The best designs I've seen have been "one off"'s. I'd spend the $$$ to get one custom made. $500-$800
#3. 2.5" exhaust with one 18" glass pack if it's still too loud, too bad. $125-$300
#4. Fidanza Flywheel $350-$400
#5 Light weight forged wheels $1400-$2000
#6 Falken Azenis tires for summer, put stock wheels/tires back on for winter if applicable to your area of the country. $400-$550 (Depending on size)
#7. Cams. None are really 'cheap' at the moment, but I'd try like hell to work out a deal with KSPEC or REAL to get them at a discounted price if you get them dyno tested. $300-$800 (add in another $150-$300 for stronger valve springs for the really crazy cam profiles)
#8. Head port and polished. I'd look really long and hard at trying to find a shop that knows mitsu heads. Our head isn't that similar, but it's the closest relative you'll find. Either that, or pay the $$$$ for the Extrude Hone head work. $500-$1500
#9. High Compression 12.5:1 or 13:1 pistons forged pistons $600-$850
10. Custom length rods for 1.8L 2.0L Hybrid $600-$1000
11. 1.8L crank balanced for above rods and pistons $250-$500
12. windage tray for 2.0L block with 1.8L crank $75-$150
13. Custom larger/deeper oil pan. I would add capacity, and also deepen the area under the crank $100-$250
14. Custom made intake manifold. I would go for short (6") runners and a very large plenum chamber (about 3 liters) $500-$1000
15. 75mm TB $50 off ebay
16. Electromotive Tec-3. Yeah,it's spendy, but this is a balls to the wall setup remember? $2200-$3500
17. Stronger clutch. Pick your fav here. $250-$500
18. Larger 440cc Injectors $100-$300
18. Tune this setup. That means dyno time and an TEC-3 Expert $500-$1500

Grand total? $9000 to $16650
This should get you between 225 and 250 WHP. However, it's just so damn expensive, I don't see anyone out there trying it anytime soon. So it's really a moot point. Over 250 WHP might be possible..but we'll never know.

Just to note..

The quad throttle body setup has very short runners and a HUGE chamber..

Think about it like this... youll save money on a CAI and TB
Your car will sound like an import on crack!

Get a WRX scoop molded into the hood so air can ram in...

Wow..
That would be a killer setup...

I am staying NA because my mom said no to turbo, believe me I tried for about a year asking then finally gave up, anyways I want 160 whp
I want power instaneously also no spooling up or anything beacuse I use it for autox, which I do with my dad, so its more of a suspension thing except for the first little straigt away I get up to 60 and everyone else to 80  but I can keep up almost in the turns
For nitrous my mom would say no and I dont use it to drag race so all that extra hp at a turn would mess me up comming out, they are about 90 degree to 180 degree turns I think I go about 30 or so around them maybe less its hard to ceck the speedo

That's what I learned on HA.com back in the day, and that's why I'm trying to get parts that will work N/A, and work with FI once I head down that road.

My friend, haven't you seen the Maintec GT Headers Tony? WOW!

Why 2 Inch?

Not to mention small diameter. Like my 16 inch Konig Traffiks, 13 pounds a piece.

That's what I want to do, get someone here in the US to buy a decent set of cams and dyno them. They'd prolly sell after that. I remember when I went to throw the first Airram GB, everyone said we'd never sell 10 because of the price.

We sold 14 the first time...

What parts i'm looking for...hmm?

Well i've done most of the na mods with little to no gains and many exhaust and running rich problems which i'm still haveing. I have since switched over to more show car/rice type mods.

I guess whats holding me back from more power is maintenance and tuning. Its hella expensive in the NW and i have to work two jobs to be able to mod my car.

I am getting close to being done with my body mods and have been contemplating a simple turbo kit. I want 200-250 for a daily driver and a show quality look. I want it to be reliable too.

Wish list
Speed Factor turbo basic kit---transformed into show quality("chrome")
Fidanza flywheel and clutch
Pulleys
aluminum radiator & fans
set of 18" volk rims and air ride(I know its weird but i love it)

grand total minus labor = $ too damn much

My .02

ps..Random i may be taking you and jaws up on that turbo install offer next year

For those items, with a little help and a few deals, I spent about 2500US$ in parts only. That number is quite "low". I don't see how you could get everything for under 2100US$ without getting freebies.

I would also add an UDP and oversised tb. Cheap and easy.

With cams, you definately need some fuel tuning. Stock ecu will make you run lean.

2" exaust? Wouldn't you rather go for 2.25"?
