No, I bought a 02 Elantra Tranny.

 

lost my tranny at about 145k. a link pin came loose and cut a hole in the bell housing. the guy at the dealership said it happened a lot on the rd1 5speeds.

 

well i dont know if the previous owner had changed the tranny or however many owners there were before me.. my car has the highest miles on it on this site im willing to bet.. around 250,000 but as long as i have had it i havent had tranny problems it feels loose though been thinking about changing it. the original engine got changed out at 215,000 and i changed that cuz it was starting to smoke a lil bit..
