I'm after feedback on guys that have upgraded their engines.
Specifically the STROKER KITS.

What other parts are included on a stroker kit, I thought I pretty much upgraded the lot on my car?

pistons, rods, engine block after 6-8 years are still in very good condition, with very little wear.
The mechanic inspected for the condition during the installation of the cylinder head.

these are the parts that I have replaced on the engine.
stage 2 camshaft
ported cylinder head
valve springs
arp head studs
fuel injectors
intake manifold
throttle body
turbo manifold

the Stage 2 version I got is the best one for street performance.
cam profiles
272 intake duration
262 exhaust duration
valve lift intake 0.400
valve lift intake 0.375
On the dyno I got approx 15-20hp extra, most improvement was on acceleration across all rpm's.

Stage 3, 4, 5 is for Drag Racing.
specs from 272, 282
valve lift 0.400

That's a big improvement over the 150 odd you were at last time. I bet you were spewing you didn't quite make 200kW @ the wheels though wink1.gif

^ I think he said he got them from RPW in Perth, Australia. I believe their price-lists can be downloaded from their website too.

Stroker kit?
You have been reading a lot of Honda magazines that talk about the B16 engine right? lmao.gif
There is no stroker kit for our engines, and I am guessing you drive a 1.8 powered Tib, if so, you are talking about changing the lower internals for the 2.0 parts, but that has been talked about a lot in here and in HyundaiAftermarket.com/old and if I don't remember wrong, you CAN'T do it because the 1.8 cilinder deck is too short; but don't quote me on this I don't remember it 100% accurate. cool.gif

Actually, RPW offers a 2.1L Stroker kit. They modify the crank for longer throws (longer stroke) and use shorter rods.

Combined with a bore job, It increases displacement to 2.2L.

They've offered it for LLLLLOOOOONNNNNGGGGG time (they had it when I started modding 6 years ago).
