I have 110,000 miles on my car. Im so afraid to have any Transmission casualty because of all the crap people been having. I change my Transmission Oil every 30,000 miles. My tranny seems to be fine, and I don't drive hard, but I do carry alot of loads.

Trashcans jump in front of Faith's car, so he has bad luck towards everything. His vote doesn't count.

Both Tibs I have, one with 18k miles and one with 67k miles, are on the stock transmissions. Going to do the fluid on the 67k mile one soon. tongue.gif

I think my tranny called it quits at.. 50000 miles? Or around there.. somewhere. It didn't up and die on me, I just had it in for the maintenance and the tech said it was looking pretty damn bad lol. Ah well, they gave me a new one =)

I edited the poll to have 'Never had a Casualty" and gave it 2 votes for Sparticus. Same with me, no problems, on either Hyundai, ever, with the tranny.

Mines an auto, which is suppost to go (out) faster. I have changed the fluid at 35k miles (black when I bought it owned.gif ) Since hearing about auto tranny problems and them in general I installed a trans temp guage after my first race day. I dont race if the temp goes to 250 (it runs at 200 on the road, this number could be inflated bacause of wire reisitance).

i replaced mine in the 30k-60k range, it's a 5 speed. The third gear syncro went out, that was the first owner fault though. The clutch started slipping only like 5k after I got it.

I missed this thread when I was out of the country.

Lost my first auto tranny @ 55,000 and I'm about to lose my second 55,000 miles LATER
