What weight oil are you running?

most of the time the ticking is either the HLA's or the idle air bypass

make sure your oil is alright and it shouldnt be a problem you might wanna get a engine flush if you are still within low mileage in order to clean up the hla's

Take it in and have it looked at if its really bad. I had the ticking for the longest time, but it got *really* loud, so I took it in to have it checked out. Turns out the Oil Pump had failed due to a restraining gasket on the crankshaft breaking. The particles cloged the oil pump which resulted in the top of the engine not getting enough oil which caused damage to the head, and LOUD clicking.

What happened?

- Replaced Lifters
- Replaced CAMs
- Replaced Head
- Replaced Engine Block

--- Yep, I got a whole new engine.

Then, I started having 1-2 and 2-3 Gear shift problems. Result?

- Replaced Transmission

I got a whole new drivetrain at 65,000 miles.... all 100% covered by Hyundai, including car rentals.

Get it checked out.

I think with some OBD reders you can control injectors. Like with engine off you can click (on/off) each injector separately and hear does sound come from them.

Does frequency of that ticking sound increase with increased RPM?
Do you have stock injectors? What about fuel pump and regulator?
