ya barely anyone knows about it which is weird because its such a good upgrade...but ya it definitely would not be cheaper to switch to an m/t...getting the shift kit for an american transmission is only around $100, and yes it would be harder to get one (if there is one) for the import tranny's we have so it will be more expensive...buuut ive already looked into changing my tib to a m/t and it would be around 7k (mostly from labor), since i wouldnt know what the hell im doing

Level 10 will do a torque converter upgrade for you, supposed to be good, but going to MT would be better.

If you get a used tranny, a manual swap with labor would probably be only around 3k-3.5k. Getting an auto tranny to run with a manual in the quarter mile area we are talking about (12 seconds and above) will require a torque convertor, probably a tranny cooler, and messing around with the internal veins... which will be just as much as swapping to a manual and getting a good strong clutch and flywheel.

Depends on what power they were putting out... when you get down in the 12 second and lower quarter mile times its more practical to have a CPU switch gears for you.

It takes more involvement and more money to get the auto tranny to match the 5speed.
