beta2 trans does have longer gearing, he was just saying his is to short for him, why would you want anything shorter. which is true, but the bulk of us are still on our original trans.

I would like to have longer gears myself.

I found a 05 elantra tranny cheap with low miles, would this fit my tib?

My tranny's synchros are going bye-bye and 2nd gear is grinding away.

Socks did you (and anyone else who done the swap) just swap the entire beta II transmission or the internals? Did everything just bolt right in? What else needed to be changed? What year/car transmission did you(s) use?

I have a Beta II tranny on the car. You just need to grind down part of the rear tranny mount a little. Just have a grinder/dremel ready and you'll understand.

Jon did you have to use the front part of your Beta I trans case?

What year(s) beta II 5-speed will fit/work?
2001+ Elantra 2.0L 5-speed and 2003+ Tiburon 2.0L 5-speed?

I need a new transmission for my 2000 Tibby and I want the lowest highway RPM's possible (without loosing bottom end of course).
