They make it for Engine Oil, Fuel Treatment, Gear Oil, all sorts of stuff.

k so lets say my car is parked.. and the front of my car is facing north..
now .. is the filler bolt horizontal and facing directly north as well?
and is the filler bolt more on the driver side of the car?

and the drain bolt im assuming is facing directly south? is the drain bolt facing down or horizontal like the filler bolt? and is this bolt more on the passenger side?

This picture shows your drain plug, as you describe your car, the drain bolt is facing west I believe.


This second picture shows the filler bolt, which is facing north.

yeah, no matter what the application..... Lucas is going to be okay to use and better than some cheap 5hit. it's kinda' pricey though - but well worth it. they've been making HIGH performance lubricants for years. drag, road race, nascar, rally..... all that.

probably more than you NEED, but hey - that extra mile never hurts.

That's for ATF, but you have a manual, so don't worry about it.
OEM fill for Life gear oil from Hyundai will be fine. The normal 80W90 is what is normally in your car now.

Lucus additives are always good stuff.

Here is how you do it.. very simple. You take your quart bottle of transmission gear oil and a hose.. perferably quarter inch.. after you unbolt the fill plug and cut the nib off of the bottle.. press the hose onto the nib as far as it can go until it is in no danger of falling off (this is assuming you also removed the inner seal from the bottle so that the oil can pass through the nib)
Take the other end of the hose (about a foot in length is all you need) and push it though the fill hole on the transaxle until the hose is comfortibly inside and in no danger of spilling your precious gear oil all over the tranny...
You might need to squeeze the bottle some as gear oil is a VERY heavy viscosity (90 weight oil... the engine uses 10w30.. with it's heaviest being about 30 weight) and fill the transaxle until fluid starts to come out the fill hole.
It is really that simple. Once the fluid is even with the bottom of the fill hole all you need to do is bolt the plug back in nice and factory tight and you are done. No dipstick, no getting under the car, just fill until it flows back out and you are done.

*Edit* Moved to Engine and Transmission..

Also, depending on how many miles are on your car.. it might be a good time to drain your transaxle compleatly and put all fresh fluid in it.. you have already done about half the work in refilling it.
