I was looking into engine bay today, and noticed that there is a hole where stock piping goes that leads to the fender well, thats where intake is located in my XD, so I was thinkin of doing the same thing with my RD.

what do you guys think??

You'll have to enlarge that hole in the apron, about twice as big as it is stock. But a few minutes with MR. DIE GRINDER and it's all good.
Just make sure you put some Touch up paint and some grey silicone on it, and then wrap it with some rubber hose (just cut some P/S hose in half and wrap it around the hole) which will prevent rusting.

the reason why I was thinking of puttin intake the other root was because the pipe would be a little further from the engine than the way most of the people do here, so it would be a little colder...
another question about the desing that everyone uses, the filter will be placed into the fender well, right? isn't there a some sort of protection/shield? will I have to take it off?

and i did buy a cheap intake off of EBay, cuz i didn't have the money for an AEM at the time. i will, however, rip that thing out soon to get the real thing.
