yea java the top coat on my spark plug cover is a smooth coat... the paint should bond to it just fine... or i could even take some fine grit sand paper and rough it up a bit maybe...

Well, I got my intake and it was completely different from the one that I bought, so I emailed the seller and waiting for him to reply and send me a new intake. BUt I still decided to install it, just for the hell of it, and cuz I was bored today. It's also not a true CAI bacause my filter is inside of engine bay and right next to the tranny... 02.gif

and I got a question for you guys. How the hell would I be able to put my intake filter into the fender bay? I have some plastic shield there, some sort of protection.....

Aside from the top elbow, that looks like an AOS knock off. Same location, same bends. To get the intake into the fender you need to cut through the plastic shielding.

I mean it's a nice intake, I just want mine to go into the fender well and this one is just too short. Maybe I will just buy a pipe and extend it.
What should I cut it with? Just some knife? and how big should the hole be, filter size?

thanks

Just make the whole big enough for the pipe. When i did it i just hacked away at the thing with a knife from my kitchen, cut the thing up all over the place lol, could have done it a litter neater.

I didn't know so many of you had AEM. In my opinion I like INJEN'z intake better, and im not positive but i do believe it does have better results in terms of horsepower but im not sure.
My future plan is to install INJEN'z Race division cai on my 2001 juz for the raw power of the intake.

Sorry man, it doesn't. Read the whole thread brotha.

The Injen brings like 5 HP, it's very bad flow due to bad overdone design.

Buy it if you want to spend the extra cash, then come down to NM and I'll school ya.

LOL

Good luck man, you should get an AEM and use the extra few hundred towards some real mods.
