Good point. Plan on running to the local pick n pull today to try and source one out. I'll keep you guys updated on what I find.

 

So I did pick up the 4.6l tb off a newer Lincoln and it def wasn't a bolt on affair like you guys said. The pics I was shown of the swap looked like a straight swap but I overlooked the fact that the mount holes were bored out so I did the same thing.



I widened the mounting holes and lined up the IM and TB openings so they are spot on. The flange may overhang but that's fine with me. Can't wait to put it on.. not bad for $10. Ha.

But that has got to be the most god awful looking throttle body to be putting on an airam. Why not just get a new 70mm polished mustang one for $80, then modify that to fit with an adapter flange?

 

It actually doesn't look bad since the airram and tb are painted wrinkle black. I only paid $10 for the tb so not complaining at all.



What did you use to plug the butterfly hole? Was thinking jb weld or something along those lines.

Got the Air Ram and the Ford 4.6l throttle body installed and was able to drive it today and I'm impressed with how responsive it is. Now just need to figure out why it's idling high but might have something to do with a vacuum leak. I'll post up pics when everything is tidied up. Kinda just threw it together enough to make it run.

I sure did.. I'll look it over more tomorrow. I'm sure it's something small I overlooked.
