Info on bbtb
So I recently picked up an Air Ram and wanting to pick up a bbtb to help support any gains. Not looking to get an rside or system upgrade but read/heard that Ford/mercury ones are able to be used. I want around a 65mm since my head is ported and I will be boosting in the future. I tried searching but was having issues finding definitive answers. So if anyone knows what model of car I can get the tb of of, I'd appreciate it.

An update.. I spoke to a fellow member who has a Ford tb on his beta swapped accent and by going off his pictures I'm almost positive the tb is off a 4.6L crown vic. I will pick one up and let you know how it works.
Kinda surprised about the lack of response around here nowadays.

I don't recall one that is a direct bolt up. You could always have a machine shop weld a flange on one. Other than that, it would be easier to just have the stock one bored by www.maxbore.com for $100.
The lack of responses these days is because pretty much everything you could ever do to an older Hyundai is in a search. And a larger throttle body isn't necessary until you're making well over 400whp. Even then it's minimal gain until 500 or more.

yup. i have a mustang 4.6 throttle body on mine.
make sure you plug the idle hole in the butterfly if you do end up swapping, its NOT a bolt on swap. flanges are different.

Only reason I want a bigger one is to better match the Air Ram opening and eventually I want to boost. As for the crown vic tb, the guy was able to throw it on without any modding so I guess I'll see when it gets here.
I did try searching but wasn't getting much luck on makes and models to pull off of besides Ford ha.

I am 99% sure it is not a bolt on swap. Simple way to figure out if it is is to buy a throttle body gasket for a dolla and see if the bolts line up.
Then you gotta rewire the tps but thats simple
