SCCA,
do the new betas trim the fuel pump with voltage regulation? In a returnless system, the pressure will probably be fairly constant for most of the operating conditions. Returning fuel pumps are more about flow rate, returnless pumps are more about pressure. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Hyundai used the same fuel pump. sad.gif

I'll dig around hmaservice and see what I can come up with.

The 01-02 elantra and the 03 tib use the same pump setup. Here is the interesting part.
There is a fuel pump, assist pump?, and a fuel pressure regulator all located in the tank along with your fuel filter. We have yet to do one but it appears you can get access from under the back seat cushion.

It almost sounds like the returnless fuel system is just like the return fuel system, except that the regulator, pumping, and bypass all happen right at the tank. I'm wondering if there is some sort of electrical regulation done with the booster pump to compensate for higher loading.

I'd like to see the diagram and wiring, but have been too busy today to dig around HMA.

Seems the car engineers are finding new and exciting ways to make our upgrading more difficult.

good luck,

When I get to work tomorrow I will look at the assist pump closer. Maybe I will even order one just to see what the heck it actually is. I have an annual return I am doing in August I'll just return it after I look at it.
