Fuel pump replacement
Ok I looked at the service book for the 4cyl and 6cyl. The regulator in the tank on the 4cyl is 350kpa the V6 is 300kpa. So I believe you will see no benefit from using V6 stuff. There is a Pressure regulator similar to the ones mounted to the fuel rail, this one mounts on the filter asm. The regulator has a stamp of FPR801 XFL that is it. The pump looks like a standard pump it has no markings at all other than the hyundai logo, hd inside a circle and xff stamped into the plastic top section.

Ok according to Car quest their 2001 Elantra pump is the same as the 2000 which is the same as the 1999's. Drop in only not the housing. So it looks like the Eclipse regular pump will also work in the new elantras. You have to keep the original housing and just replace the drop in pump. Car quest pumps are mad by AIRTEX and have a rating of 45gph and a dead head at 80-100psi cutoff.
