Awesome man, wonder where I can get one locally. That would save a LOT of time and effort.

SHE'S ALIVE!!!!

Okay guys, got the axle/hub all together and installed totally yesterday, replaced the disk with the new ones that Faith gave me, filled up the tranny, replaced the battery terminals and battery, and took it for a drive.

Details...

First, I finished filling the tranny with fluid and closed it up, then I noticed (or really, my son did) that fluid was dripping steadily out of the axle seal I just replaced.

So I checked again and the axle was in as far as I could get it, you could almost get a pinkie in between the axle face and the tranny face.

I opened the car door and the door dinger was going off. That brought a smile to my face as it meant I didn't screw anything on the battery up. LOL

I got in, started the car, and the RPM's promptly settled down under 1K rpm's. So, I was right, it was idling higher without the axle in.

I backed up a foot to get the chocks out, and pulled forward.

As soon as I turned right, you heard a "CLUNK". Not loud, but you could hear/feel it.

My heart almost sank.

Then I thought, let's see if it drives. I took it for about 500 yards, some more turns and tight 3 point moves.

Then brought it back.

The noise was the axle popping all the way in. LOL

WHEW!

So, I've put about 100 miles on the car now, and all problems are fixed except for the drivers window regulator that proturbotiburon still owes me for 3 months now. I just got a CEL this morning but the car is driving fine, it's a CEL P0422, Main catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1). I'm PRETTY sure it's because the exhaust manifold is cracked pretty decently, and will get it to the dealer this month to get the manifold replaced if they will do it.

Other than that, getting used to the fidanza flywheel is taking some getting used to, and the eibach/KYB combo is just to DIE FOR. Way awesome ride and cornering. The B&M wasn't installed correctly way back when so I need to work on that now too, but all in all, it's running great. Just needs some headers and a new exhaust.

I'd like to thank everyone that replied in this thread, and these other folks for helping me via phone and spirit.

Glad to hear it's all coming together. Glad to hear how nice the Eibach/KYB setup is too, since I just bought that for my Tib!
