Here is the ugly version of the Random Special CAI Generation 2 beta/prototype.
It will eventually be made out of metal tubing heat wraped. The metal tubing will be mandrel bent. the end with the rubber adapter on it is for the MAF end.

You will not need it, all the factory pieces are back in it would be very hard for water to get to it. Also for water to be a problem the filter would have to be completely submerged for a short period of time. The AEM By-pass valve has been recalled due to the fact that part of the valve has been seperating and itself getting sucked in. We would be ok because the MAF has a screen on it. But like I was saying it is not needed anyway.

Say, I've been looking at the picures of the Random CAI gen 2, won't the air have a hard time getting round those 90degree bends??
You really need shallower bends otherwise the air will just stall in the pipe and probably won't be anymore beneficial than the stock setup..

CRAP! I badly read Randoms post. I thought his was made like that ! I made one out of ABS piping too ! I only have one 90 degree bend though, is it still going to work better than my cone filter alone ?
