Do not get OEM if you're gonna mod it or plan to get a turbo.

If you're not hard on the clutch, then it'll last over 3 years.

a quality clutch should last at least 50k miles at a minimum. unless u cant drive, or are overpawering it (takes alot, usually just an excuse for those who cant drive)

in reference to upgraded clutch's on stock or close to stock cars.

when i did my original clutch and flywheel set up (spec stage 3, fidanza flywheel)
i was totally stock, i didnt even have my rims yet. and didnt have any plans to mod the car. just figured if im gonna replace them, might as well do it right.

i personally enjoy the feel of an aftermarket clutch. even my beater 89 integra i paid 350 for has a stage 2 clutch in it with a fidanza. the way an aftermarket clutch feels is totally different then stock, and much better and more fun IMO

hope thats helps u a bit.

never owned or even driven an unorthidox clutch, so i can t say anything personally about them.

only experience i have with act is in my old 12 sec mx6. i had a 4 puck solid hub act stage 5 i believe. its was a very insane clutch, definitly was hard todrive as a daily untill u get used to it, but with me bouncing between three cars at the time, i usually stalled it when i pulled it out of storage. but the clutch held, and it either saw straight track time, or hardcore abuse in street races.

ive never used clutchnet or exedy, so no oppinion there.

specs suck, nuff said........

clutchmasters dual frictions are nice, but dont last alot of the time, ive had 3 friends have them go bad after like a year. they just cant hold alot of power it seems. but obviousely on our cars it would be fine unless u were boosted.

after using a few different clutch's. ive been extrememly happy with the south bend stage 2 im running in the tibby, and have been running for about 2 years now. its more grippy then any other clutch's ive had in this car including the stage 3 spec.

and the price of the douth bend clutch's are cheaper then almost all other performance clutch's, that definitly is a good thing.

Don't support Unorthodox Racing, they took the pulleys for us out of manufacturing.

I talked to them at the NOPI Nationals and they are royal assholes. Do NOT Support the companies that stop supporting us.

I'm going to look into that South Bend clutch. On there website they only list '97-'98 and '03-05. Is there a differance between the '97, '98, and '99? I know that there wee originally two engine sizes (1.8l and 2.0l) and that all '99 are 2.0l; am I missing something?

I think they are all swapable if not the same. Cause you can use 1.8 flywheel in 2.0 engine.
