THIS weekend. I have a bunch to do to the car, and should be able to get in at the dyno. I found out that the CLOSE Dyno Shop charges $125 PER PULL!
Send ours in for a regrind? Wow, so that leaves us with 2 options.
1. Opening up and sending the cams from your tib and waiting for them to come back and leaving it all open(hopefully covered) for a few days.
OR
2. Starting a chain with one set of cams reground and then the first person replacing the one in their car with the regrinds and sending the one that was just in their car to be reground and shipped to the next person. The next person in line needs to pay right when the cam gets to the shop to be reground or move on to the next person and come back to them so that it keeps moving along.
Someone tell me we are doing the chain! If so I sign up right now on the list to be 3rd! That should be about the time I have the money, lol.

Wow it is usually that for 3 baseline pulls around here. Time to move to ABQ and get a dyno. nana.gif

wow that's expensive. is that at the dynos edge?
No, that's where I'm getting mine done at, Dyno Edge, and they are reasonable. This place is in Rio Rancho. I'm paying like $75 for 2 pulls.
Guys, don't forget, I'LL HAVE A SPARE SET OF 2.0 CAMS AFTER THIS IS DONE AND WILL DONATE THEM TO BE SENT IN, this way your car can keep running.

There has been some discussion on the cams, the one we are using has something called Tri-flow grind. The Tri-flow design changes the intake side by staggering the opening times of the two intake lobes, and this causes a change in the system. The principle behind this design is to open the intake valves progressively. By opening the one valve directly across from the spark plug first, this allows the fuel to travel across the chamber at a greater velocity. After the first valve opens, the "secondary" valve opens and then quickly catches up to the first valve so that they both open fully at peak duration and lift to simulate the flow of a race cam. The engine has better vacuum at idle since there is less overlap, throttle response is greatly increased, and turbos’ have noticed less lag and faster spool up time.

Heh, you might have noticed my car was down for about a week? I posted all about it. Engine wouldn't start. Anyways, it's now fixed. Trust me, I WANT these bishes in my car.
