WHomever said "Lumpey Idle" around you was a moron then, it's been called a LOPEY idle since the what, 50's?
Lumpy Idle would make NO SENSE at all, LOPEY idle makes sense, because of the definition of LOPE. Imagine a stock cam being someone speed walking down the street, a SMOOTH IDLE. A LOPEY idle would be someone SKIPPING down the street.
A LUMPY IDLE would be someone falling down while running down the street backwards and banging their head on the curb every 3 feet.
http://www.popularmechanics.com/how_to_cen...ve/1272271.html
According to this, a LUMPY idle is a Idle Speed that surges UP and DOWN.
Google has only 614 results for "LUMPY IDLE" and over 8,000 for "LOPEY IDLE". Tell me which is more used.
ENOUGH DISCUSSION OF THE WORD LOPEY!
Damn. LOL
No dynos as of yet.

These are going to sell for $420 for the pair. You will need to send in your camshafts to have them reground. I am just waiting on Red to dyno test them so that we can advertise our results.

Okay, normally I wouldn't do this because it's not a big deal, I don't care, but you are making me look like a fool and you are pullling these "facts" out of your ass.
#1 - Lopey is still not a word. Look it up in the dictionary, LOPE is a word, LOPED is a word, and LOPING is a word. Those are verbs. And LOPES as a noun. However, LOPEY is an adjective used to describe the sound. NOT A WORD.
#2 - "Lopey idle" vs "Lumpy idle" on Google
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&saf...mp;q=lopey+idle - Results 1 - 10 of about 554 for lopey idle. (0.09 seconds)
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&saf...mp;q=lumpy+idle - Results 1 - 10 of about 93,300 for lumpy idle. (0.04 seconds)
"Lumpy idle" wins by about 92,450
Maybe you had 614 results on your search because you're spelling lumpey with an e, however, just like in the 3rd grade spelling bee lumpy is still spelled L U M P Y. Not sure where you your "8,000 results from lopey idle" from though. Quit making shit up.
#3 - Re-read your definition of the word lopey.
From Dictionary.com:
To canter leisurely with a long, EASY stride. Does the idle sound "leisurely" or "easy" to you? Are the exhaust pulses "long" or "leisurely"? And it certainly has nothing to do with a horse.
Nothing about having the cams makes the car sound "steady" or "easy." In fact, it makes it sound rough, and the exhaust kind of pulsates. Much like LUMPY. And lumpy actually is an adjective. Hmm..
Now, I believe you may be right because of all the other people saying "lopey idle," may be some odd slang our grandfathers came up with, even if it makes no sense, there's lots of slang like that, but don't lie and bullshit to try and make your story make sense and make me look like a moron.

It's not me making you look like a fool, it's you doing it yourself. If Lope is a word, then LOPEY is a word, just as LUMP is a word, and LUMPY is a word.
I DID say no more arguing on it, and frankly, I've had enough of your bullshit. Enjoy a week off of the forums.

Wrong. Lopey is a word, you can, in the English language, change words by adding different endings to them, you'll learn this in Middle School. Lopey would mean to have a LOPE like effect to it.

Hmm, are the cams MOVING? Holy shit, I wonder if it's possible.

Again, you are a MORON. You searched WITHOUT THE QUOTES, as anyone can see using your search links above.
Using the search string of "Lopey Idle", WITH QUOTES (On the internet, a search string using quotes looks for exactly what you've written. Without the quotes, it looks for any page with the words Lopey and Idle, anywhere on the page. So your dumb ass searches have found any pages with the words lumpy and idle on the same page. Such as, "My seats are lumpy, and my idle is errattic".).
Using the QUOTES, as you should have, you come up with...
Personalized Results 1 - 10 of about 8,380 for "lopey idle". (0.28 seconds)
Personalized Results 1 - 10 of about 676 for "lumpy idle". (0.04 seconds)
So again, stop accusing me of making stuff up, learn how to use the internets, and stop posting off topic you dipshit.
LMAO
BTW, a misspelling of LOPEY even has more search results than LUMPY.
Personalized Results 1 - 10 of about 835 for "lopy idle". (0.19 seconds)
Did you mean: "lopey idle"
HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

You almost got it there. A lope isn't SMOOTH. A LOPE is like a skip, as I said before. If the stock cams ride smooth (no rough idle), then aftermarket cams ride rougher, to where you can notice it, and give the engine a LOPE.

No need to believe, because I AM right. You made yourself look like a moron. Maybe next time you should pay some attention to the FINE points that I post, like quotation marks, and how to use them in google. Or even pay attention to what the staff say, like "NO MORE POSTS ABOUT THIS BULLSHIT". Think about it on your week off. Lope is not slang, so therefore lopey is not slang.
More likely, as the world has progressed, morons like you have just THOUGHT that folks were saying Lumpy idle, or couldn't grasp what a LOPEY idle would be, so Lumpy made more sense to you and you started using it.
I hear one more word about this bullshit, and posts are deleted, and folks are warned with a week off. Cut the bullshit out.
420 isnt bad at all. does that include shipping back to us? also, i dont think i missed this earlier, what are our options for cams. i mean, the turbo guys would want different from the n/a guys.
sorry for the off topic but....i just realized that red really is a power abuser, and cant take it when someone tries to argue with him so he bans them from the forum so that they cant say anything to make him look stupid. of course you say no more off topic when you made the last point. but on the note of the cams i want to see what kind of gains are possible. fing02.gif

Yes sir. There's probably just going to be one or 2 versions of these, but I'm sure we can do some custom stuff if needed.
How am I a power abuser? I'm an ADMINISTRATOR here, it's my job to keep things on topic and correct folks that are wrong. You can argue all that you want, but wrong is just that, WRONG. THis thread has turned from talking about cams into a English squabble and Internet Search Engine course. Zoned is not banned, he's suspended for a week.
Just like you will be warned for posting off topic. Oh, but I won't be warning you, I wouldn't want to ABUSE my powers.

I can say "No More Off Topic" posts anytime I want, I, along with the other STAFF, RUN this forum. You decide not to listen to what we say, then you get reprimanded for it. My last point was made, proven, and further discussion of Lopey/Lumpy idling is not only not needed, but detrimental to the thread, look where it's gone now. I can take arguing just fine, and can debate for weeks on a subject, but the thread isn't on that subject, so it's over.
Drop it. You don't like the fact that we enforce our rules here, you are welcome to not come here at all.
