I would definatly try this if I wasn't installing my turbo in a few months.

WTF, I might as well try it in the mean time, its not like this mod is going to break me. smile.gif

So will this work if I have a 97 Tib with MAP? Do I still use the 1.8L ECU from a 98 Elantra?

So let me get this straight, since I have an SAFCII this really wouldn't help me since I can lean it out on my own?? Also does it do anything for spark or just fuel management?

I am thinking that it would have to have something to do with the timing and/or A/F ratio.

it's sort of annoying that someone* has all the answers to nearly all of these questions and won't tell anyone...and searching really gets you nowhere, because there are only 2 threads on the topic! and i'm assuming if you are reading this, you've already read the first one.

would someone who lives in a larger city (unlike me! population=3000, we are surrounded by LITTLE ass towns everywhere, no good junkyards) be willing to find another 1.8ecu and ship it to me, i'll pay you cost+tip...better than spending $15 in gas to drive 2 hours for a $25 part.
thanks--

Does anyone know if Dweets problem in this thread

http://www.rdtiburon.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5585
was because of the 1.8l ECU? I don't wanna mess my car up by putting it on.
