Does it matter what kind of Double sided tape you use to replace the emblems on the cover? Is there a special "high heat" tape or something I should get, or will your average everyday home depot bought tape work?

Every day stuff works, just make sure it's strong and not TOO thick.

Might as well post mine in here as well. Painted using a regular Krylon metallic/color shift paint. No high temp stuff, it's held up great for 3+ years. I don't have a spark plug cover because I used to have crappy thick KORE wires that wouldn't fit under the cover, so I never got around to painting it.

As people have mentioned PREPWORK is the key. You don't need high temp or the most expensive paint, just take your time with the prepwork and don't get hasty at any point in the process.

Sure. Just make sure it's decent clear coat and that it dries.

Quick question, and this may have been covered, but I'm in a hurry, gotta get some work done for class tomorrow. I'm going to be getting a new engine soon, and my car is limegreen with blue, I'm thinking about painting my valve cover limegreen, and the rest of the cover blue, or black. Oppinions? and then now to my actual question, I have a cold air intake, and was wondering if it's ok to paint that, and if so, how/what paint would I need?
