I am about to do this to my Tibby this weekend and want to make sure that I have this correct. So whoever replies to my post just say yes or no if I have it correct or not.

1. Replace ground wire from Neg on battery just the way that it sits

2. Put a new ground from engine to grounding point on chasis

3. ADD a new power wire from positive side of battery to ALT with a inline fuse of 100 or a circuit breaker at 100 and leave original positive to ALT connected.

Sorry but I wanted to make sure that I am doing all of this correctly before I begin.

That sounds fine, except for the circuit breaker part.

You could include a step 4: add a negative battery terminal or distribution block with multiple outputs and ground several locations instead of just one.

Pics down here too, any chance of retrieving them? I'm mainly interested in seeing how the wires are routed.

Since you brought this back up.

There was discussion of removing the factory wire to the alt or not and adding a fuse to the new wire.

Was there ever a final decision on this as to what works best?
