me too. i'm not even that harsh on my brakes but i did commute 45-50 minutes one way to work. problem is i never had any problems with the stock lines so why should there be any problems with high performance lines? you would think they would be better...

i dunno. if the rest of the three lines break i have to look up Sport Compact Car at the grocery store and call some companies up to see if they make anything for tibs. last time i saw they had a wings west spoiler for rd tibs.

isn't the point of upgrading to ss braided lines so that we can stop and go and brake hard as hell if we want to. this sucks man i'm really skeptical to put these on. don't wanna die or even worse crash up the tibby. is there a way to get these tested for pressure even before we put them on?

they also have a full kit. Their spoiler looks like the Shark spoiler without the middle bar...

I am going to stick with the stock line sfor now.. if i need more braking power, ill grade calipers and rotors..

I have not yet installed mine either,
i'll still put them on when i get new rota's and pads at a later date,
it sorta sucks when you get defects like this i hope it dosn't happen to me since the shipping etc will be a pain in the ass,

guys don't slang the product yet till we get some info from elite about replacements recalls etc,,

anyway here is the quote from Elite themselves...

"Magnum Teflon Stainless Steel Braided brake lines.
A large percentage of your brake pedal travel is due to expansion of the hydraulic hoses under pressure. Replacing the rubber flex hoses with our stainless steel reinforced Teflon hoses eliminates this expansion, giving you a firm positive feel of your cars braking system.
This set of lines is fully covered with PVC thus give it extra protection, no other brand on the market gives you this extra protection. All the hangers and holders required in this set of lines are made of anodize aluminum. The Lines have been tested and pass the 5000 psig burst test
minimum requirement meeting the Type approval FMVSS - 106
"

if the don't meet the requirements or have given fake testings they can be in major trouble, + a free replacement or refund..

again if the lines have been tested why would the burst once installed? confused.gif i doubt if any of us have exceeded 5000Psig in braking pressure..

It would be good to get a reply..

it seems like less thn half, which raises the percentge of broken lines bigtime.

Wow I was kicking myself for not getting in on this. Now I am kinda happy I didnt. Are the lines basically just straight lenghts or do they have mounting pieces and such on them?
