looks like the 2.0t OEM boost is 5.8 psi (0.4 BAR) ... don't know where the reading was taken but it's still interesting to know :

Yeah but was that stock, or were they playing with the boost to see how much the turbo was good for? Like I said, I need to see a video of a stock one with a boost gauge hooked to the intake manifold.

It would be Very interesting to see what kind of numbers we could be putting out on that stock turbo if we turned it up. And if we upgraded the turbo what kind of numbers we'd get too.

Those grills look very nice. Definately something I would do. Cant wait to go test drive one soon.

^^ the stock turbo can't go up much more, at 20psi it would be out of it's efficiency range. A bigger turbo is the only way to get more power out of it and even at that it's limited.

I think the turbo 2.0L was a half assed idea that hyundai thought they would throw in for fun.

^only sales will tell. i don't think it was half assed though. with a 2.0 it can grab new buyers from different market categories like people who buy saturn sky/solstice's, s2000's, tuners evo's and wrx's while at the same time grab buyers who aren't into imports but more luxury or muscle. you know what i mean. appeal to different kinds of people.

doubt they will take sales from people in the sky/solstice market. specially since they are roadsters and theres not a convert coupe, and their turbo editions have about 50more hp, and are lighter. same thing with the s2k market, its also a roadster, with more power N/A.

and with EVO/WRX tuners going for the 2.0T, i also think not.. why would anyone switch from an almost 300hp, AWD sedan if thats what they were into.

the people the gen coupe might steal are the 350/370 guys, the g35 guys, groups like that.


and why would the 2.0T coupe appeal at ALL to the luxury/muscle guys?
