Here's what I got, it works with the Throwout Bearing that came with the kit. As you can see they are completely different and will not work on my Beta2 Tranny.. 02.gif

He's as busy as a one legged man in an ass kicking contest these days, but he comes around sometimes.

I' ve been on new tib for the same reason i'm here today
the guy sent me an e-mail asking for help with a reference to the forum
like i previously said, e-mail are checked almost daily, the forums (local and other) i try to check them from home when i have the time)

for your issue,i have a GK tranny case i'll look at what can be done,it's the first time i bumped into that issue and i have some l0ocal GK guy running the kit
wich year is your car/tranny?
i'm not sure if the retainer is available with the good bolt patern and the properly sized sleeve

in the worst case one could simply cut the sleeve of the stock retainer and have anew one welded, that would be somewhat more complicated
but i'll try to check if something is available

Thanks Denis!

Its a 2003 GK Tiburon 2.0L engine. Its the original tranny that came in the car. For now I'm hoping SPEC can just fix and strengthen my existing center pressure plate snap ring hub, because I can't wait for the push conversion anymore. I don't trust cutting and welding the collar from one piece to another because if its not perfectly aligned it could really mess things up. 02.gif

If properly done i would trust it
you could also just havea sleeve made that would press on the stock retainer then simply tack weld it to be 100% it doesn't move from there

i should have some news in the beginning of the week if something else is available

for the push conversion, the 215mm is working nicely with the fork/lever kit
the 225 one is another story, the machinist lost every note i gave him, now i have to ge the trans out of my car and measure eveything...
this thing is becoming a real headache

Dave, i came out empty handed for your case
the best thing that could be done is having a sleeve made then press it on your stock retainer
it won't weaken it, in fact it will only make it stronguer and if you want extra insurance just just tack weld it to be 100% sure

i got a call today from a guy using a stiff pressure and having some clutch release problem,so i think this will help others

Hyundai installed a rubber damper in the clutch master cylinder clevis,on soft pressure plate this isn't a problem, but with a stiffer one it might act like a sponge and steal some travel from you

you can simply pop open the clevis, remove the rubber and plastic parts and replace them with an equal tickness of steel washers or use the clevis from a 95-99 accent (later one might work but i don't have one on hand to comfirm)

in some case you might need to raise the clutch stopper a bit (14mm nut) and lengthen the master cylinder rod (12mm nut) be carefull to not over-lenghten it,keep a little bit of free play,if left too long it will act just like if you were driving with your foot on the cluth (might make it slip)

Here's a few picture i found and edited quickly to help you understand

GK tiburon clutch master cylinder
