Re: 2004 ABQ BBQ - Who's Coming? (ABQ = Albuquerque New Mexi
sorry to make this thread, but i think its a good place for everyone in on the GB for the turbo kit to list there questions, comments and concerns...
First off, Tim, don't think im not gonna buy it or pay you.. here is my plan.. i applied for a CC 2 weeks ago, and have good credit, so i just need it to be approved.. i called bank today to see what was up, and they said to just wait a week or so and i should get the info i need. Once i have the card, i will pay you all at once.. I am trying to get this ASAP so i can get you your money.. Is this OK??
Secondly, i asked in the GB thread but didn't get a real answer.. Do u think someone mechanically inclined would be able to bolt this kit on and get it running in a day. .i have/will have more parts (i.e. pistons, injectors, fuel pump, clutch, SAFC) but they will be going in a diff. day so i can split it all up.
I will try to get a dyno/ track times of before the kit, and after the kit.. what psi would u want me to run it at? so people can get a basic figure?

front lip / front bumper
Just re-posting here, I guess this is the new thread for questions about the kit.
Where is everybody living who bought it? I'm near Chicago, IL.
Also, will I need a fuel pump?

Re: Clearing Out the Shed
Maybe it would help if you could just post anything that would be needed to install this kit (parts i mean) that dont come with the kit...like fuel pump or the slimline fans that way we all know what we are up against before we rip apart and find out we need something thanks

Re: front lip / front bumper
from what i know, u can bolt this kit right up, utilizing everything in the kit, and be good to go.. if u want to run higher boost, run more efficient, you can go my route..
heres my list of stuff..
this Speed factor basic kit w/ FMIC
APexi SAFC
440 cc injectors
8:1 walbro pistons
high flow fuel pump
Spec III clutch kit
EGT guage
oil pressure guage
by the way i am in detroit MI. i will prob be venturing down to nicks house (dweet) to have him help me out with certain things.

socks, if you're planning on going bigger, maybe see if tim would throw in the equal length manifold instead of the log one for some more money.

Re: FS : miscellaneous parts
ok. i recommend anyone getting this kit a 190 fuel pump, also i cant remember if the kit came with a FPR, if not i'd recommend an aeromotive. For anyone getting the kit from Tim id ask him about getting these items from him ASAP before he places the parts order if its not too late already. HE usually can get things for a great price Also from your local auto parts store I'd pick up some spark plugs that are two steps colder. Other than that you should be good to go

Re: going back to stock, everything is for sale
01importshark, where did you get the 440cc injects?
Also, how do we adjust the boost level with the "stock kit"? Will I need a boost adjustment tool?

No boost controller needed. Tim includes a adjustable wastegate with his turbo's so all you have to do is adjust the rod on the wastegate.
Also Tim can get you the 440 injectors but if you dont plan on going past 250 WHP the 440 are overkill!!!
