**Very Important Note:**
This unit is will only work with ONE OBD protocol (PWM, VPW or ISO) . By default, I will be sending the ISO protocol unit (Hyundai vehicles and almost all of the imports uses this). Please let me know if you need a unit for a different protocol. For more information regarding vehicle protocol and compatiblility, please visit here http://www.scantool.net/browseCV.html

- Connects to a computer's Serial Port or RS232 (There USB Version is available in a week or so for another $8. Please let me know if you are interested)
Is the USB version an actual USB cable in the unit, or just with a serial->USB connector included in the package? Either way, please post again when you get the single ISO unit in stock again. smile.gif

Kantizuni,
It's an actual USB unit... meaning, it hooks up to your computer directly to the USB port. It's not just a USB to RS232 (serial) adapter/cable in between
Just to let you fellas know that the USB is a brand new concept due to the our current computing trend where the serial/rs232 ports are eliminated on the new laptops. On that note, i've never actually touched one in person, i've just seen a single pic of it when the manufacturer is promoting them. For me personally, i still like the compatibility and stability of a good old serial port. Also, the price of the USB unit might change just a little bit, it wont be much though.
I apologize for the lack of stock of the ISO units at the moment.. the winter storms are really slowing my incoming shipments down; and then there's delays in customs, brokerage, paperwork, etc and etc
As far as the current availabilty, yes i will update the first page (if i can be granted the ability to to edit) or i will just post it up.

Bboyitim,
welcome to rdtiburon... enjoy your stay here!
as for the basic code reader and clearer... i have like 25 units or so
please dont hesitate to ask me if you have any more questions
i will do trial and testing on the new usb unit to determine it's stability once i finally get them in... but yes, overall... i find that any COM units are more compatible and work wells with the regular serial (rs232) ports

the thing is that usb solutions can be iffy when coming back from things like hibernation.
i stick to serial whenever i can.
