Ok... can you guys confirm or deny that it's possible, with a Hi-Scan Pro, to do those things:
- Download the firmware of the ECU from the car to a PC
- Update the firmware of the ECU

I just want to know because I may have access to an Hi-Scan Pro, but the owners doesn't know much about it's capabilities. Thanks!

It is possible to download from Hi Scan Pro, but we have to pay royalty to Hyundai and Nextech Hi Scan Pro manufacturer.

We are in a complete stage to download flashed tuning data from our data base (website) to dealers notebook pc and to customer.

This application only applys to latest model using flash CPU type. New Tiburon and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution

Ok... just to make things clearer, if I have a Hi-Scan Pro at home, and a software card for my Tiburon 2000 from Hyundai (or a CD from Hyundai, or whatever I need to update the ECU's firmware), can I reprogram my ECU with it? Thanks a lot!

It is not a editing software. WE pre-write it, and you can only write it over. Only applys to new Tiburon CPU type.

For previous model with Bosch eprom type must send your ECU to us, since it is hard to find anywhere unless buying new for $600 in USA and none available in Korea for 97 to 2001 model.
Korea use Siemens since start of Tiburon series.

I do not speak about YOUR work in particular; what I want to know is what the Hi-Scan Pro is capable of in general. What a dealer, for example, is able to do with it.

Can a US dealer flash the ECU of any Hyundai using the Hi-Scan Pro? How does the dealers in the US reflash the ECU if the Hi-Scan Pro can't reflash them?

Hyundai Hi Scan Pro only flash what HMA provide for stock car program.

Remember the hesitation for early new Tiburon.

They re-flash with UPDATED program provide by HMA R&D.

In general, they do diagnostic communication for:

Nextech Co. Ltd.

Hey race-real:

Are you coming here? Just curious. Have you talked with Mike recently?

Max boost has a lot to do with Thermal dynamics so in what way do you plan to keep your turbo running at 100% efficency?

How will you prevent the fuel from detonating and still have great throttle response?

Currently there isnt much that that we can do with the HI-scan.

mostly pull codes and flash the ECM with the updated info provided to us by hyundai, as well as flight record and view current data.

I'd love to be able to take my extra SOL card and go on the road and sell the ECM upgrades....
