Through my adventures painting the interior numerous times...I found that vinyl and plastic paint dont work very well...so what Ive done is figured that Id want something that can withstand heat and cold so it doesnt crack...so I went with engine enamel..it worked very well...stuck nice...as long as you clean the surface thoroughly...For this project I used Ford Blue and Universal White...theyre about $3.50 a can...and you can get them at any Auto Zone or even Wal-Mart..there are of course other brands...but the name slips my memory...just look for the brand that carries Ford Blue,Old Ford Blue, Grabber Green and Universal White..Duplicolor comes to mind..but Im not sure...
about your mirrors tho.I just recently masked my headlights and tail lights with a base coat of the white engine enamel...then I used the blue. I have pics but my car is REALLY dirty and I dont wanna show the lights until its clean lol...but since I did the lights with it..and it hasnt come off bc of rain or heat yet..im guessing you could do ure mirrors as well...just be sure to clean the surface..then sand it a little, to make it rough. And be sure to use a few coats....if you dont want to risk sanding it down...then dont...I used the same type paint on my outer doors..when I had my interior painted red and blue...I fabricated a superman logo...painted one on the airbag...and did one on the outside of each door.It looked pretty good...until I realized I didnt want them anymore...but nonetheless....they stayed on and looked pretty good.THE BIGGEST bit of advice I could give anyone about painting anything in or out of their car...is dont be in a hurry...if you spray it on too thick it will run and will look crappy...make thin even sprays..DO NOT try to spray it on all at once.Thanks...Nick

VERY interesting...
why did you choose to not paint the doors the same, instead of symmetrical they are actually EXACTLY opposite?
i see you painted the courtesy light blue, when your door is open is there light that comes through? or is it completely solid
also, when you painted the vents did you take the vents apart? how did you manage to get a nice, even coat throughout the entire vent?
