nana.gif nana.gif nana.gif .
I might start tonight, rip off the n/a exhaust system and mock up the turbo to get measurements on oil/coolant line lengths.
I also need to do the CM stage 4, install the 1.8L trans with shorter gears while I do that, press all the yaya suspension bushings in, and start mounting the intercooler/fabricating the piping.
Gonna be busy the next few days!
As for the offer to help, thanks but I kind of want to do everything myself, but you are welcome to come hang out if you like.

I have begun surgery on the tib!
The damn downpipe has to be SHARP with the v-band outlet. Damn, I had to cut an angle pipe and then do the same to the tightest bend I already had to clear the alternator by 1/4". Gonna wrap the downpipe and make a heat sheild for the alternator, hopefully it will last a bit, have an extra in case.
Actually I could definately use a hand holding exhaust and intercooler piping while I tack them.
I just found out the performance shop I am getting my braided lines from doesn't have anyone knowledgeable enough there on saturday, and the will have to order the fittings/lines (only takes a day though). So that puts my finish time to at least tuesday.

Ya I had a 3 inch downpipe and had to slice part off and weld a straight piece of stainless because it was literally on the alternator. Now I have MAYBE a quarter inch. What Im doing when I put the new motor in is moving the alternator back to where the ac compressor is. That should solve that.

Thanks Pat!
I had contemplated doing that, but it will be time consuming and I wired up the in/outputs on my haltech to control the a/c so it would make that a waste.
It actually came out quite nice. I will have to post up some progress pics.
Got the downpipe and wastegate dump fabbed. Mounted the intercooler, mid way through fabrication of the intercooler piping/routing.
