Well, with the cancellation of Nationals...I'm still left with 2 weeks vacation this year....

I think it would be an awesome trip, and time-wise, its not that much further than Atlanta...maybe 5 hours.....but thats according to Google and speed limits.

Put me at the bottom of the list of maybes....I have to think about this one....

 

Give me a good location for you and I'll see if I can't work a better route for you to get down here, I know some decent shorter routes through to here.

Also, if you are here for the full week of the balloon fiesta, you have a MUCH better chance of flying for free.

although it would be ALOT further than going to ATL.

its about 1600 miles from my place to windsor. 23 hours
its about 720 miles from ATL to windsor. 11 hours

i know your not in windsor, but just throwing up a comparison.

but you will have a free place to stay.

 

Yeah, Mallory and I will be there again. Hoping the tib will be painted by then....

According to google it said 1 day 3 hours...so 27 hours. I could do it in 2 days. The Nopi Tour put on by PASmag leave on a Wednesday and doesn't get to Atlanta until Friday night...But thats because theres 30 cars, and making scheduled stops for gas and meals and crap. If its just me driving down....I'll EAT/DRINK/GAS UP/CRAP all in one stop...and since I'm a fat ass, I'll be doing the eating part while I'd driving...lol

 

eating while driving FTW.. my van got so messed up on the way from detroit to ABQ.. i had wrappers everywhere.. i got sonic on the way down and it was falling apart while i was driving.. trying to eat a big burger while driving SUCKS.

i stuck to stuff like chicken strips and fries the rest of the way so stuff wasn't falling all over lol.

 

RiX- if you are coming through Denver, let me know. We could drive down together and you'd have a place to stay if you need it.

avblushark - ALEX!!!! How've you been man?!?! We should definitely hook up again for the trip down. Going through Buena Vista was beautiful. I'd be down for that drive again! Hows the car running? New Paint job?!? Cant wait to see it!

RED - I am in one hell of a dry spell, so you know I'd be down for a New Mexicana hook up mang!!! What are we drinking this year?!?!?

With the Nationals cancellation this is interesting me greatly. I need to seriously think about it. How long we got before hotel rates go up?

 

Ericy, earlier is always better with the Balloon Fiesta, there are usually about 250,000 to 500,000 extra folks here in that time, but you can stay here with me if you want mang.
