If you search, you would find out that the alpine may not be your most favored selection.

I do believe that alpine is the only kit made, but just read up on some things. If you don't know anything then your best bet is to stay N/A until you get some knowledge. Get a nice book on turbo's like "Maximum Boost".

It would be better to create your own setup, just read up and come back to the idea when your ready.

with a turbo you can tune for power and save gas with a s/c it's not as good on gas mileage.

pm dmdicks for pricing.

you would have to run high octane gas to avoid detonation, like under any boost.

I'm not looking for major boost.
So I think s/c is the way to go and since I do not have 2 rights hands all the time.... laugh.gif

When Xorro still had her tib she said the s/c didn't affect her gas milage, at least normal driving that is
Ohwell, this is still a dream ahead

Well, turbo really hasn't effected my mileage either, lost maybe 1 or 2 mpg. I still get 27mpg. On some setups, turbos actually net mpg increases, mainly twins on larger V8 applications, but it doesn't suck gas unless your heavy with your foot.

If your a slouch on maintenence, I'd hold off on F/I for a while. You really need to keep an eye on things. I check my oil at least every few days, pull my plugs every week or two, and usually every few days go over a check on the car (tighten down all the clamps, look for oil/coolant leaks, dirt/metal in the piping, etc.)

As for melting a motor, no, you're not going to melt something if you drive it for hours. I drove nine hours to NY in a 400whp GSX in 95 degree weather. It hasn't melted, and the new owner still hasn't melted anything after its been running 400whp for... 25-30k miles now? wink1.gif
