With a SAFC (or similar piggyback) plus the MSD, you'd be paying about $600. You'd then have a halfassed tune that leans out your motor. We all know about this mess, but just making sure.

So, what if you could get a PRS2 Standalone with a base turbo tune and a wiring diagram that you could install yourself???? Would you be interested, especially if it's at a similar price?

The unit goes for $675, but we may be able to get a Bulk Buy discount if there were 10 orders. Is there any interest in this? And seriously, would you be interested in it now, not next year or the one after that.

All turbo guys or soon to be turbo guys should jump all over this.

Reason 1
Because SAFC is junk and doesn't work right on our cars.

Reason 2
$675 for a full standlaone is CHEAP!!!! Jon is even putting base map together to get you running.

Reason 3
You may think safc will work..blah blah if you keep the turbo after 6 months you will be buying a standalone lmao.gif

If I didn't have the Haltech E6X I would be all over this Jon. Wish this buy was available 8 months ago.

I think 24 wires. Just tap them right behind the ECU. Plus mounting the MAP sensor. Shouldn't take you long.
If you could wire up an SAFC, then you could do this. Same thing, just 15 more wires.

Actually Dmdicks has it in his Tib already and paid for the tuning and headaches. He pretty much has all the bugs out and is running it with his ~280whp setup.

so, it is a standalone that does not disconnect the ecu? Does this mean it is compatable with the way they inspect cars now? (plugging into the comp and looking for codes)

Does this keep the stock ECU on for all other functions (AC, OBD2) ??

Already have the PRS8 system works great and for NA there would be no need to stand-alone even though i HATE piggy backs , you'll only tune so much for a na and get so much out of it also u can just get a duel rail and get a cheap SMT and there is ur semi stand alone and BUGS lol never had them me and the guys at the shop know perfect power so it was no prob but not easy for ur everyday guy either thats why so many go haltech user friendly lmao.gif but right now i have local guy making the stock reverse ecu harness so it will plug up and i can wire str8 to the PRS with out taping so u can still plug up ur stock ecu if need be

Seems pretty cool. Cheap too. Probably would be nice for Beta guys, in terms of something affordable. Compared to the AEM EMS, Greddy E-manage, and Haltech series (let alone even Motec), it seems affordable. Too bad it'd be just as illegal as the Haltech for your cars (ECU is REPLACED...not connected to the system).
