Possible turbo setup for me?
I'd have to agree with Cheuk and the gang. The CNK kit is looking to be the best kit out there, and for the price, I don't think anything else come close. Since he doesn't supply an ECU, again, a Haltech or Motec or such would still end up being cheaper than that other kit, and it would allow you to get the car properly tuned. I'm sure that if you are looking for more power than the CNK kit, it can probably be tuned for much higher boost levels with only a few more modifications. Like his race radiator, a different wastegate, possibly the KORE drag axles (not sure bout that one), and maybe rods.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the CNK kit is good for 200(250?) whp, and with higher boost and high boost parts, probably mid 300's...yes? That's pushing 425 or so at the crank....a hella lot of hp.
Just my 2 cents.

well, mav, the parasitic loss through the drivetrain isn't completely dynamic. it's not 14% of whatever crank hp you're running. it's 14% of 140 crank hp stock. if you're looking for a kit, the cnk kit is the best out right now. apexi is coming out with a kit. there's no word on pricing or anything yet. i would just get the cnk kit, and see if you can get it less the pistons and get some forged, since your goal is over 300hp. cnk supplies hyperuretic pistons, which won't last at about 280+ hp.
First off I'd like to say...I have heard a crap load of talk about Haltech but I still don't know what exactly it is. I am going to be dumping close to $10,000 into my Elantra and I would be interested in a Haltech if it is something like an aftermarket ECU which seems to be the case. Please let me know what it is.
Yeah...$12,000 is a rip. The $10,000 in my car will equate to turbo kit, injectors, fuel pump, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, stage 4 clutch, flywheel, LSD, boost controller, cams, a used engine (beta 2 which I plan on rebuilding myself with a friend of mine by the name of HAYNES smile.gif ), Forged pistons, forged rods, new part to replace worn ones from used engine, metal gaskets, and on top of all of that the Zefiro body kit, KORE racing suspension (fully adjustable), rear rotor kit off of Elantra GT, and 13" drilled/slotted front rotors with 4 piston callipers, along with 18" wheels and tires. I would definitely suggest for you to shop around before you set your eyes too much on one thing. It'll be worth it. But SOMEONE PLEASE post a reply as to what a haltech is and even a website link for specs if you've got one. Thanks.

OOPS!!!! My bad...I thought CNK pistons WERE forged. Well it looks like I got a little bit more shopping to do!!!! Sorry 'bout that. By the way Shadoh...If you read this, I'd just like to say I noticed your *My Hyundai Sense is Tingling* and that made my day. smile.gif
Thanks Russ. Mind if I copy your setup, minus the body kit? smile.gif
Oh yeah:
Haltech site
It's a reprogrammable ECU. With this installed, you can program, adjust, and tune your car to your heart's content. You can also reprogramm it to have sex with your dog if you want to. (JAWS lol )

No prob.
Turbo Setup:
KORE turbo exhaust manifold, KORE forged rods, Undecided turbo (Most likely t3/t4 hyb), CNK charge piping intercooler and BOV, custom machined injectors (most likely around 600cc), CNK fuel pump, generic downpipe, I need to find forged pistons (probably weisco)
Misc Engine parts:
Either SR cams OR I'll buy unmachined camshafts from hyundai and take them to a machine shop with custom specs, SR fuel pressure regulator, KORE stage 4 or 5 clutch, KORE flywheel, port and polish with a Dremel, underdrive pullies as to not pop my steering pump or air conditioner (I want to keep them but still run excessive amounts of power) and on top of which it will salvage power obviously, Quaife LSD (I am waiting on some money to get in on the group buy in another HA.com forum), I also need to get a cooler for the tranny and some sort of pump.
Suspension/brakes:
KORE fully adjustable suspension, Precision Brakes 13" rotor and 4 piston calliper kit
And there you have it. I'll post some links below.

I hope all of this helps! Thanks for the link on Haltech!
