I been looking myself.

Thou I have not gotten into reading on the subject about what makes a "GOOD" turbo cam.

I just know the basics.

Less valve overlap and a higher lift exhaust cam.

I think those SR cams are relabeled HVE cams.

I think as far as i know the duration is to long so there will be a lot of valeve overlap so the tubo will end up blowing straight through. I think this is correct unless they have released turbo ones i havnt seen?

i got some cat cams recently for an NA setup. the instal shop said they would be ok for turbo if i got some cam gears and retarded the intake cam a bit to reduce the overlap.

i don't know about the alpha engines, but betas don't have "cam gears" that we can just replace and adjust the timing. i would check on that.

advancing the exhaust would advance the intake.

well, no s*it, frostbyte. poke but what if you don't want to adjust intake and exhaust valve timing together? that's what i meant.

That is a picture from webtech of the alpha engine which I think shows the cam timing cannot be adjusted seperately by changing the cam gear. If one cam (exhaust) is advanced, so would the other. 99Mini's install shop told him/her the cams would be ok for turbo if he/she retards the intake to reduce the overlap. With the alpha, and beta, retarding the intake is done by retarding the exhaust, and overlap will remain constant.

unless of course you want to do the work outlined in This post .

I think they make/sell turbo cams in Korea.
