You guys r right. Even though I own a V6 Tibby, I have yet to work on them. My experience is on older muscle cars and mid 90's Hondas. My remarks on my original post was told to me by a buddy of mine who tried to turbocharge his tibby (It went oh so badly). I later did research on Korean websites and they said that turbocharging a Tiburon usually ends up in tragidy :-(. And as to the tranny problems, the Honda trannys and the V6 Tibby trannys r like apples and oranges, I didn't try to specify that I was talking about the Hyundai trans. I live in So. Cal., we get alot of 15 yr old kids who think they can turbo charge their moms 1982 Dodge 400 (my first car). In actuality they probably can, but they won't do it. They also think that their moms 1992 Toyota Tercel is the shizniz bone stock. I have had alot of those kids come up to me and ask me what I am going to do with my Tibby. I reply to them that it will be supercharged, and they laugh. I suppose they wanted me to say "I'm going to get the worlds biggest body kit, throw some 26 inch spreewell tires and rims, git it painted orange, yellow, pink, and gold with a dragon graphic gracing the sides" or something like that. Well, to all those "kids" out there it ain't gunna happen buddy. To all those true Hyudai fans, "Thank You." And next time I'm try to form my message in the form of an question instead of an answer.

Just be glad that Random answered you both times before I could... rolleyes.gif

I don't suppose you're from NewTiburon.org and are spouting all this information based on all the information that I POSTED over there. There are a bunch of nut-swinging bastards from that site that do nothing more than spew garbage OR spew "factoids" that they hand-picked out of someone else's conversation.

First off...it's CHAMELEON. Second...where on this green earth did you get CHAMELEON paint that goes from purple to black???? I not trying to brag, but I pride myself in knowing quite a bit about different CHAMELEON paints. So I have to ask...where did you get it, and what company? Because I know H.O.K., Dupont, and PPG don't offer that color combination. And 12 GRAND? Unless you put something crazy like 10+ coats of paint on your car, then I can see it. Not trying to be an jerk.....I'm just curious.

EDIT: Oh, I just remembered that I forgot.

Uh..

Yeah...

Anyways, what ever happened to that twin turbo "Low boost" V6 that was over here? There was a poster of it, someone posted the picture of it on the old boards. It had all the specs listed on the sides, all the internals had been upgraded.

Anyone else remember this or am I Nutz?

Not more than life it self, but I am proud of all the hard work I put into it and at the end all that was "needed" was boost. And I would of been completed!! And then to have some a$$hole take it away from me within a matter of seconds...still kills me!

Back to topic: So any time slips/photo's eyeceman?

The paint job was done by my brother at his friends shop. It took 6 months to do, and yes it was an extreme amount of coats. I have the pic of it running the 9's but i don't have a scanner, as soon as i find one i'll post it. And just for S & G i'll post the Del Sol also.

hey hollow, here's what i think would be a good idea for you. i'm not sure what your budget is, but since you like superchargers, and since the delta has shown such good response to N/A mods, get the alpine SC, and throw all the bolt on goodies you can on as well, CAI, headers, exhaust, throttle body. this way, you'll be getting close to the V6s safe hp limit, which is around 225-240whp if i remember. either way, the alpine SC is a low power FI setup, (something like 50 hp) but reliable, and since the V6 responds to the N/A mods that you can still use with a super, this should be tolerable. people with just I/H/E are breaking low 14s on the V6 tib. so with the SC, that should be even better. just a thought.
